So, it’s only January 9th!! I’m not too late, right??? :)
2013 was another awesome and prosperous year that I am so thankful for. I have THE most amazing clients and I loved being the one to capture every single one of these precious babies, mamas and families this year. For our family, pictures are at LEAST a yearly thing and SO important. With the upcoming birth of our second baby boy due in April, we will have even more pictures to cherish this year. I want to congratulate each and every one of my clients for taking the time and putting in the investment to capture the ones closest to their hearts. You will never regret it!!
2013 was a crazy year…but a good one! We moved in June (which means I finally got my dream come true and upgraded my studio!), went to an all expenses paid trip to Maui, Hawaii courtesy of my husbands hard work at his corporate job, found out we were pregnant with our second baby boy and were able to travel throughout the year to visit family in Florida, Oklahoma and Virginia. I flew to Oklahoma to meet (and photograph!) my baby niece. I also traveled to Philadelphia, PA this year and met up with an AMAZING group of women who inspire me everyday. One of those women has traveled to NC from Atlanta, GA to see me twice!! Once to help me photograph triplets and the other just to say hey! while she was attending a family wedding in Raleigh. I have been truly blessed this year! <3
It also had it’s trials and tribulations as well…which while some still loom in the air, most are resolved and over with. It’s not all puppies and rainbows over here either. ;P I am a real person with a real life and real problems just like everyone else…and I never forget that. But I run my business with a full heart and full throttle passion for what I do and I believe I can overcome anything. The month of June was the toughest. Not only did we sell our home and buy a new one, but I was really sick just before and during that whole transition and it was super hard. Thankfully we had family come into town to help us out but boy, do I never want to do that again! I told my husband we are never moving again!!! hehe.
As a photography studio, I shot 68 sessions this year!! 29 of those were newborns, 20 baby planners, 13 maternity, 5 families and 1 fitness session! I really like to say that because June was a complete wash, that 2013 was 11 months for my business. ;) With my maternity leave this year, I guess 2014 will technically only be about 9 months for my business!
Without further ado, here are (most of) the faces of 2013. Some were photographed in my old studio space, and the lucky ones were spoiled in my new studio space which I am continually upgrading as we speak. ;) And some were even lucky enough to pass through both studios as their babies grew up this year. I want to especially thank those clients who stuck with me through that whole transition. No matter what size studio I had, the quality was the same…but the client experience is definitely top notch now that I have a true and spacious dedicated space. I could spend all day in there. ;)
