Raleigh Durham Maternity Photographer | Whitney – 33 Weeks

Taking it back to the old school and catching up on June still!  Last year was so amazing.  I got to see so many expecting mamas, newborns and babies…I had a blast!  Here is Whitney at 33 weeks during her maternity session in my new Raleigh studio.  She was sooo gorgeous in these images.  Looking back at these images while knowing what their completed family was like is just so amazing.  I feel like I grow with my clients…especially my maternity clients who bring their newborns back to the studio.  I love sharing in this incredible experience with them and capturing the beauty of pregnancy in each and every one of them.

My favorite image of Whitney is the one in the lace “dress”.  That image was featured over on Learn Shoot Inspire as a “One A Day” image and it’s just so lovely.  The neutral tones and her beautiful shape and beaming smile…she is just glowing in that photo!

I will be blogging about their baby girl Mila and her newborn session soon!  I am going down the list of sessions that never got blogged.  I think it’s important that every one of my clients is featured (better late than never right?).  My goal for 2014 is to catch up on blogging my 2013 clients and keeping up the tradition of blogging my clients sneak peeks and then once their birth announcements are out, blogging my favorites from the session.  I think as a perspective client, it’s important to see a photographer’s portfolio, but also see what variety you’ll get from a single session as well….and you want to make sure the photographer you hire has consistency in their work!  Don’t forget a portfolio is among the best of the best of that photographers work (you hope!)…you want to make sure that’s what the photographer can actually produce during your session as well and that they didn’t just get lucky with a few good photos.  Blogging my sessions is a great way to show you that I have the skill and consistency to deliver what you see in my portfolio.  :)

  • […] This is going to be a blog post FILLED with photos.  I went through her session from last year and it was SO hard to choose favorites.  We did a bunch of different headbands and wraps and her session was styled so beautifully.  Such a great mix of images!  This baby girl is so gorgeous…her strawberry blonde hair is to die for!  And such a sweet little face (I love the macro, ie close up, shot of her face at the end!).  I also photographed Mila while she was in the womb via her mommy’s maternity session.  Whitney is absolutely gorgeous and you can see her maternity session here.
