The Johnson Family Sneak Peek | Wilson, NC Child Photographer | Raleigh Fall Family Photos

Wow!  Another fun fall family portrait day in Raleigh!  And another gorgeous family of five!  Today I met with the Johnson Family at my new favorite location and we had a blast.  I work with Sheila in the ICU and I have heard so much about her family.  It was such a pleasure finally meeting them all!!  I was completely enamored with little Ava…she was so sweet and adorable.  Luke is such a handsome guy and definitely gave me a run for my money but his mom and I agree that even though he made me laugh..a lot…I definitely won in the end. ;)  And oh my – gorgeous Hannah!  Such a stunning young lady…I couldn’t stop taking photos of her because she just looked so beautiful in this afternoon’s warm golden light.  Sheila thank you so much for introducing me to your family and trusting me with your fall portraits this year.

Parents are often nervous that their children won’t “perform” during a session and for many, family sessions can equal major stress and anxiety.  Are they going to turn out well?  Will my child behave?  All of those thoughts are completely normal.  Heck, I have them with my two year old any time we have family portraits scheduled.  (With an additional, what the heck am I going to wear and I hope I have a good hair day thrown in for good measure). Maybe I’ve just been realllly lucky this week but all the kids did so great.  My job is really to put my clients at ease about all of their apprehensions and anxiety about family photos.  Most kids do really well and end up surprising us all and some need a little more encouragement (but usually nothing a few m&m’s or jelly beans can’t fix). :)  I’m proud to say there is a method to the madness in the way I run my family sessions.  I have a two year old myself so I completely understand the short attention span of toddlers…know the right thing to say to prevent a meltdown and will even act like an absolute goofball (feel free to laugh behind me…I can’t see you back there!) just to get one smile or uninhibited laugh out of your child.  My family holiday mini sessions are booked this season but I have a few dates available in November for regular Fall Family Sessions.  Sessions must take place in November to ensure timely Holiday card arrival to my studio.  Please use the contact form in the main menu to inquire about session availability!
