Wake Forest Baby Photographer | Teagan 1 Year Cake Smash

Whew!  Obviously catching up from June here.  So crazy!!  Here is sweet Miss Teagan during her 1 year cake smash session in the new studio!  Teagan was a hoot!  She was already reallllly good at walking….or more like RUNNING around the studio.  haha.  Both of her parents were there chasing after her while I did my best to distract her to keep her in one spot.  These types of sessions can really wear you out so having an extra set of eyes and hands there is really helpful.  I usually have one parent behind me doing anything and everything they can (along with me – I’ve sworn my clients to secrecy on my secret tactics lol) to get baby to look at the camera and smile/laugh/make a cute face. ;)  It’s so much easier when they aren’t mobile, but it’s just as fun to get those shots of them running off the set.  It’s a milestone, right?! :)  Most 1 year olds aren’t running, but Teagan was a pro.

I love her moms choices of bright colored outfits – perfect for a 1 year session!  The light pink ruffle dress is actually part of my studio wardrobe for 6 month – 1 year olds.  It’s adorable!!  I am currently shopping for some more cute dresses just to have some options in case my clients can’t decide on what to wear for their kids.  Usually (especially with girls) this isn’t a problem at all (if I had a girl I’d bring a suitcase of clothing for my photo shoot!!!). hehe.  Boys are much harder (I can vouche for that myself) but my clients have brought such adorable clothing I’ve never had to worry about it. ;)  Blogging Teagan’s session reminded me that I needed a pink backdrop for the next baby girl cake smash that I do. ;)  I just love how the bright blue backdrop turned out for a couple of my boy cake smashes.  Makes the photos that much more fun!
